A Few Things To Do Here In Georgina

April 24, 2018

Georgina is one of the best family-friendly places to live and one that I am proud to call HOME 🙂  Some of the best traits about Georgina is its beaches, boating, entertainment and outdoor activities.

I thought I would share some of the amazing experiences you can have right here in Georgina.

The ROC

ROC Calculated Traveller Step1 1000x370 1

In the winter they offer events such as Snowfest, Tubing, Snowboarding & Skiing, FREE Outdoor Ice Skating & Tobogganing, Season Passes and my very own “Trevor’s Night At The Roc”.  I host this event once a year inviting anyone that lives in Georgina the opportunity to bring their family to a completely FREE evening of Tubing, Ice Skating, Tobogganing and lots of smiles.  In the Summer you have an amazing bike park, challenge course, splash pad and walking trails.

Boating On Lake Simcoe

Being born and raised here in Georgina I have always enjoyed the amazing swimming and fishing that Lake Simcoe provides.  Lake Simcoe is situated in southern Ontario between Georgian Bay and Lake Ontario, 65 km north of Toronto.  If you’re coming here to fish you can expect to catch lot’s of trout, whitefish, perch and of course bass fish.  My family and I had a blast boating up the locks and into Fenelon Falls last summer.  Our families best memories are on the lake 🙂

Georgina Parks & Rec

Georgina has so many parks and facilities for families.  Ball Diamonds, soccer fields, and of course our very own Sibblad Point Provincial Park.  If you enjoy camping with the family or just hanging out on the large sandy beach this is something you are not going to want to miss.  Got a boat?  There is also a boat launch and docks for temporary docking.
